- Think so lowly of yourself, that way you won’t worry what everyone else thinks, because your perception of self will always be worse. This gives you the excuse to not try, because you’ll fail anyway.
- Downgrade yourself in every situation to the worst you could possibly do, that way, in a situation that depends on you, you can always say there is no chance even if you try.
- Define your capabilities based on your past failures rather than current or future opportunities, that way, you can save yourself the pain of past failures.
- Keep trying to be better, but at every failure, solidify the belief that You’re hopeless and probably won’t win. That way, when you fail, it won’t be a surprise, you just saw it coming.
- Focus on past failures and the desire to win in similar situations and forget the whole point of why you’re doing this in the first place. That way if you lose in these minor matters, you convince yourself that your original goal was unattainable
- Be confident in what you can do, but always underperform or choose not to in situations that call for your presence or skills be it tests or something similar. You know you’re the best at this, and that’s all that matters. Forget that skills and yourself, are only useful when under use, usually by other people.
- Have big dreams, never draft any meaningful ways to pursue them, this way you can always have the dreams.
- When pursuing a goal, take breaks so long that when you get back to the task, you have to start all over again. This way, you can always be at the head start of pursuing your dreams.
- Have a self defeating mindset such that when there is a chance for slight improvement, diminish the improvement just to confirm to yourself that you’re just a loser, so why try. Failing to improve will just confirm your presumptions, then rinse and repeat, see where you’ll end up.
- Acknowledge one’s own shortcomings, but don’t do anything about them. At least you are self aware, that’s all that matters. Let acknowledgement be the substitute for pursuing change.
- Have too high of standards, and always move the bar, that way when you approach achieving something, it can seem further and further away. You love chasing dreams after all.
